Educational workshops for homeowners have been organised in order to present “How-to-go-nZEB” and to raise awareness of the end users about the benefits of nZEBs as well as about the importance of having the skilled and educated workforce that will build those buildings, providing them also with the short and easy-to-understand guidelines on how to become nZEB ready.

Bulgaria – EnEffect

Two similar workshops for the end users – potential beneficiaries of the national programmes for building renovation and RES were conducted, respectively in Burgas. As relevant with the timing, the first one was extensively dedicated to the renovation programme, which the second combined building renovation issues with opportunities to acquire financing for small-scale RES installation. Both workshop were organised under the nZEB Roadshow events, benefiting from the synergies with complementary actions.

Croatia-REA North

In Croatia, two similar workshops have been organized, one in Koprivica and second one in Varazdin. REA North presented the nZEB Ready project as well as the overall workshop objectives and expectations. A methodology on “how to go nZEB” was brought to citizens in order to outline the benefits of nZEB comparing to previous standards in construction. Citizens also had the opportunity to present their experiences in energy renovation within the peer-to-peer knowledge sharing session. Participants had fruitful and constructive discussion in the final part which was dedicated to questions and answers. Although the participants did not know each other, the level of conversation and overall discussion was good to that level that event ended up with some positive insights into the problems and needs of the homeowners in terms of the nZEB implementation.

Poland-RIC Pro-Akademia

RIC Pro-Akademia introduced comprehensive individual consultations tailored to the specific needs of building owners and investors. This initiative aims to provide personalized guidance and support to a wide range of stakeholders, including private owners, owners associations of multi-family buildings, developers, and public authorities representatives. Through these individual consultations, clients have the opportunity to engage in in-depth discussions with nZEB experts, gaining valuable insights and strategic advice on their specific projects.

Romania – Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest, Cluster Pro-Nzeb, INCD URBAN-INCERC

During the workshop, experts from UTCB and Cluster provided participants (MFAB administrator, HOA representative and owners) with specific guidelines on how to transform their building block into an energy efficiency building. These guidelines covered energy-efficient building techniques, renewable energy integration, insulation, and other key aspects of deep renovation approach. The experts provided a renovation scenario which will be further detailed after some energy simulation studies. The visit was in common areas of the building, where the experts pointed out the important heat losses.
