nZEB Example

Building structure is a seismic resistant reinforced concrete frame with 25 cm thick brick block walls as frame filling. It has five (5) stories –middle floor, ground floor and three floors. Exterior walls are thermally insulated with 20 cm thick rock wool panels. Flat roof is thermally insulated with 25 cm of XPS. External windows are made from aluminium profiles with a triple 2xlow-e coated glazing and are installed according to RAL standard. Building has a centralised heating/cooling system with highly efficient heat pumps as a source of heat. VRF system is used for heat transfer inside the building. Building has mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. There is a 7,8 kWp solar power plant on the roof of the building which covers the electricity needs of the building.
